![]() Cables are short and very stiff so they loop around in the air efficiently transferring bumps into the adapter & drive, pushing the assembly around the table and/or breaking the connection. Result is compromised connection stability (tweaked angle wants to pop the far side of the adapter into the air) & non-easy insertion. Laid flat on a table the SATA & 3.5" IDE female receivers sit higher than the drive paddles/pins. ![]() ![]() Pros: Communicates correctly with the host controller, doesn't get hot.
